I know this is cliche but she's growing up so fast! Five months isn't such a big deal when you don't have a baby but in 5 months she's changed SO much. I have a little girl and not a newborn. She's such a joy and sleeps well most nights. I feel so incredibly blessed to have such a healthy beautiful baby!

Paul, Kelly, and Emili came for Shawn's weekend (tues, wed) and we had a great time! We went to Big Cedar lodge, a blueberry farm, swimming, out to eat, and got some good relaxing in too.

Growing Up

My baby has really turned into a little girl these last few days. She is so much more active than ever before. She learned to roll back to belly and already can do it the other way so she's mobile! No more leaving her anywhere for just a "second"! She arches her back so I can't strap her in her carseat. She tries to roll off the changing table and won't sit still. Dinner last night was crazy! She didn't want to sit in her car seat so I had to hold her. She was grabbing my plate, my fork, my food, anything she could get in those grimy little fingers. haha And then she would scream at the top of her lungs just to be heard.
One good thing about her growing up a little is that she has finally resigned to fighting nap time. I swaddle her and put her down and she's out in like 2 minutes. Maybe I'm just reading her cues better or she decided that I'm not gonna budge so she might as well sleep.
I can't believe how much this sweet girl changes everyday! It's just nuts! I'm so happy to be her mommy to witness everything!

1st Swim

Miss Mae is a water baby like her mama! I'm so happy she likes to swim because I love it. Shawn's parents came in town (post later about it) and we swam at their hotel pool. We also took Mae to White Water (our water park) and she loved all the water jets. I can't wait to go swimming again.

She Laughs!

I was playing Peek-a-Boo with Mae and she loved it! Her laughs have been such a long time coming and I'm so happy she has reached this fun milestone!
